Escaping a Timeline

With this project, my idea was to explore time, mortality, and the expression of childhood. Time creates pain and reminds us of mortality, but children express a carefree ignorance of the timeline. I wanted to use movement and water to try and express nostalgia, freedom, and succumbing to a reality that is beyond our comprehension. Water is powerful and infinite, something we don’t understand like time and mortality, and movement is liberating and an act of escapism. This series is a chance to explore and express the feelings of nostalgia and freedom by escaping from the knowledge of time and mortality through a childlike surrender.
